Visa 188 - Business Innovation and Investment (Provisional) visa

Types of visa Business Innovation and Investment (Provisional) visa (subclass 188):

• Business Innovation Stream. 
• Investor Stream.
• Significant Investor Stream.

With this visa, you can:

• This visa allows you to own and manage a business in Australia, conduct business and investment activity in Australia or undertake an entrepreneurial activity in Australia.
• Stay in Australia for up to 5 years and apply for a permanent visa if certain requirements are met.
• Bring eligible members of your family with you.

Basic eligibility

• Be under 55 years old at the time of the invitation to apply for the visa, exception can be applied if your business will be of exceptional economic benefit for State or Territory.
• Submit expression of interest (EOI) in SkillSelect and receive the invitation to apply for this visa.
• Be nominated by a State or Territory government agency or Austrade.
• Must score at least 65 points on the points test. 
• Meet the requirements about business ownership, net business and personal assets, business turnover, successful business career and a genuine desire to continuously own and manage a business in Australia.
• You must invest from AUD300,000 – AUD5 million in an Australian State or Territory.
